Tempo is a small browser metronome for practising music, dance steps, or anything that needs a steady beat. Set a tempo between 30 and 240 BPM, choose the number of beats in a bar, or tap your own pace.

Sound stays on your device

The clicks are generated locally using the Web Audio API. Tempo does not record audio, access your microphone, or send your practice activity to a server. Your tempo and meter are saved in this browser's local storage. Clearing the site's browser data removes those preferences.

Keep the tab open

Background tabs, device sleep and heavy CPU load can interrupt playback. For the most consistent rhythm, keep Tempo active. A dedicated hardware metronome is a better choice when timing must be guaranteed.
